Airlift

Move your photos and videos to another phone directly over your own Wi-Fi. No cloud, no account, nothing uploaded anywhere.

iPhone & Android Same Wi-Fi PIN protected Resumable

Getting started

  1. Install Airlift on both phones and put them on the same Wi-Fi network.
  2. On the phone that should receive the photos, open Airlift and tap Receive. It shows an address and a 4-digit PIN.
  3. On the phone that has the photos, tap Send, then Scan photo library.
  4. The receiving phone should appear automatically. Tap it, type the PIN, then Start the airlift.

Keep both phones awake and on the same network while it runs. Airlift keeps the screen on for you.

Troubleshooting

The sending phone can't find the other one

Both phones must be on the same Wi-Fi network, and many guest or public networks block devices from seeing each other. If auto-discovery does not show it, type the address and PIN shown on the receiving phone by hand. If your router has "AP isolation" or "client isolation" turned on, turn it off or use a different network.

It says the PIN is wrong

The PIN changes every time the Receive screen is opened. Use the one currently on screen, and leave that screen open while the transfer runs.

The transfer stopped part way

Just run it again. Airlift skips whatever already arrived, so a rerun picks up where it left off rather than starting over.

It's asking about photos the other phone already has

When an arriving photo has the same name as one already in the Airlift album, you choose Skip, Skip all, Replace or Replace all. Skip keeps what is already there.

Dates look wrong in the gallery

Airlift sends oldest first and preserves each photo's original capture date. Some galleries sort by "date added" instead. Look for a sort option, or give the gallery a little time to re-index.

I paid but the app still shows the free version

Open the unlock screen and tap Restore purchase. Make sure you are signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account you bought it with.

Free and full versions

Receiving is always free and unlimited. Sending is free for 3 transfers of up to 10 photos each. A one-time in-app purchase unlocks unlimited transfers and unlimited photos per transfer. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

Privacy

Airlift collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics and no server of ours in the path. Your photos move only between your own two devices. Read the full privacy policy.
